Still feeling that Olympic spirit

Wow. I think I’ve finally cooled down from the Olympics. And by Olympics I mean the men’s gold medal hockey game between Canada and the United States. I watched some of the other events but it’s hard to match the drama of a winner-take-all battle for a gold medal. National pride (mostly for the hockey crazed Canadians) was at stake and neither team disappointed.

Over 80 countries participated in the 2010 winter games. Everyone around the globe can take pride in such a grand event which brings us all a little bit closer. The eyes of the world were on British Columbia and Vancouver and they shined. Western Canada truly has something for everyone and it remains high on my wish-list. It’s always one of Collette’s most popular destinations.

Despite Crosby’s heartbreaking overtime goal, it was great to see such a beautiful part of the world get its due.
