Packing Your First-Aid Kit

Collette’s tour managers log thousands of miles yearly taking guests to all 7 continents. Check out their basic necessities/first aid list to ensure a stress-free trip.

Warning: this list is as longwinded as my Uncle Erwin, but when traveling it’s all about preparation! You most likely will not need any of these things, but if you do need just one item for any reason, you’ll be glad you were ready.

  • Adhesive tape
  • Antacid
  • Antibacterial cream
  • Antidiarrheal tablets
  • Antihistamine
  • Bandages
  • Decongestant
  • Ear plugs
  • Moleskin (for blisters)
  • Mosquito repellent with DEET
  • Over-the-counter motion sickness medicine (like Dramamine)
  • Over-the-counter pain reliever (like Tylenol, Advil, Motrin or Ibuprofen)
  • Over-the-counter heartburn medicine
  • Over-the-counter flu symptom medication (like Theraflu)
  • Suntan lotion with SPF protection and sunburn spray
  • Thermometer
  • Tweezers

And always pay attention to every products’ directions for use. Have a wonderful weekend – Summer’s almost here!

Let us know what is a ‘must’ in your suitcase!
