Travel Songs – Deep Cuts
I wanted to kick off June with a few more great travel songs.
When one of my all-time favorite songs, Long As I Can See The Light by Creedence Clearwater Revival, came on the radio last week, it got me thinking about my Top 10 Travel Songs post. That’s a good list, but maybe it’s a bit incomplete.
A song like Long As I Can See The Light might not be a “travel song” exactly. But it does deal with something wonderful about seeing the world – the perspective it gives you. This tune always makes me think of home. As long as I know it’s out there, I can have a great time anywhere, no matter if it’s an escorted tour of Italy or just a quick road trip.
Here are another 3 of my favorite travel songs.
- Back in the U.S.S.R. by The Beatles
- Down South by Tom Petty
- When I Paint My Masterpiece by The Band – I can’t believe I left this one off the first list.
