Bio | I joined the Collette team less than a year ago, and am thrilled to be able to combine my love for travel with my love for storytelling through video. For over 15 years, I have been creating video productions for network television and corporate clients. If you are a sports fan, you’ve probably seen highlights from the Super Bowl or the NCAA Final Four that I’ve produced. When I am not updating my video blog, I try to spend plenty of time in the pool or playing sports with my two little ones. I am a life-long New England Patriots and Red Sox fan, and I love that modern technology now allows me to keep up with my teams, even when I am in the Italian Alps! My all-time favorite destination has to be Maui, my honeymoon trip. Not much can compare to watching the sunrise over the Haleakala Crater, or taking a dip near one of the many waterfalls on the Road to Hana.

Just another day in the travel biz

After working at Collette for a couple of years now, I’ve realized that Halloween is not just another day on the calendar. Halloween is chance for the company to give back to the community, and to its employees.
Each Halloween each department picks a theme and we hold a contest to see which department has the best [...]

The Secret Weapon for Memorable Vacation Photos…

… the “handy-dandy” notebook.
That’s right. Whether you’re renting a cottage on the lake, or visiting the Eiffel Tower, make sure to bring a notebook with you on your next vacation. I know that in this day and age, a notebook might seem a bit dated. After all, many if us have smart [...]

Landscape Photo Tips

How many of us plan our dream vacation around the stunning vistas we have always wanted to see? Whether it’s a beach vacation in Kauai, Mount Kilimanjaro as the backdrop to an African safari, or the lush rain forests of Costa Rica, we all want to capture the beauty of these natural wonders with our [...]

Presenting Collette’s Fabulous Tour Managers

I had the pleasure of meeting this all-star cast at our Tour Manager Symposium in Florida last week.
These folks log plenty of frequent-flier miles escorting Collette customers to some of the most fascinating places on Earth.
During the week, I spent time with many of them conducting video interviews and snapping a few photos (including this [...]

Video Tour: Italy, Stresa

My video tour comes to a close with this uptempo edit from my iPhone.
Stresa, on the shores of Lago Maggiore, is such a beautiful place. Not a bad way to end my first Collette escorted tour.
Italian Vistas delivered everything I could have hoped for.

Thanks again to all the wonderful Collette passengers who shared [...]

Video Tour: Italy, Verona

Welcome to Day 10 – Verona. This ancient city is an important crossroads. Keep an eye out for the Verona Arena. Amazing. Like a history book about the Roman Empire come to life.

See my other Video Tour entries here.

Video Tour: Italy, Pisa

Yes, I’ve always wanted to take a photo of myself holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
In this quick video you get a sense of Italy’s beauty and the fun our passengers had on this fantastic escorted tour!

Video Tour: Italy, Florence

Two Video Tour entries from the “Cradle of the Renaissance.”

In both (using my iPhone) I tried to give a good sense of being in this vibrant, artistic city. Aside from tour highlights such as the Piazza Del Duomo I think I captured the spirit of Florence.

Video Tour: Italy, Pompeii

Wow. Soaking in 2,000 years of history. Pompeii is someplace I’ve always wanted to see.

So far so good. Not bad for shooting and editing with a smart phone.

Video Tour: Italy, Rome City Tour

I’ve pulled together the video from Rome, my new favorite city. This is from day 2 of the tour.

From the Colosseum to the Arch of Constantine, the Classical Rome City Tour was amazing.
